The four-mic advantage
Four corner positions sample sound across the face of the badge instead of depending on one center capsule.
Separate channels let the processing pipeline evaluate beamforming and noise reduction against showroom music, HVAC, and movement.

Built around a salesperson and the two or three people gathered around a vehicle—not one person at a desk.
If clothing or handling partly obstructs one acoustic path, the remaining channels provide more observations and make the obstruction easier to detect.
The four-channel architecture is being evaluated as one part of the distance solution; microphone count or gain alone cannot guarantee intelligibility. Whether 15–20 ft is achievable will be determined by tests in real showroom and lot noise before production.

Purpose-built hardware
A rigid microphone carrier preserves the array geometry. Dedicated acoustic paths protect each channel. Onboard storage is intended to back up the iPad connection, while the battery is being sized for a full dealership shift.

20+ hours is the battery-life design target, pending production power validation.
